In the heart of Gallura, across the beautiful Valle della Luna with its granite stones sculpted by the wind and which call to mind a lunar landscape, there is an ancient town, characterized by the lovingly cared-for granite stone houses and considered among the most beautiful in the area.
It is no coincidence that the economy of Aggius is based on the extraction and processing of granite, but the town also specializes in and is famous for the art of weaving in general and the production of rugs in particular.
Due to the characteristics of its historic centre, combined with the environmental situation and the efficiency of its tourist services, the town has received Orange Flag recognition from the Italian Touring Club.
Recommended activities: visit the Ethnographic Museum and the Banditry Museum as well as an excellent food and wine experience at Il Mosto.
